If you look on the spot light accessory instructions it gives you wiring diagrams for the 2 switch.
Or pm me your email address and I’ll send them to you.

It’s overly complicated though.
It goes via the cjb. I assume their is a Ccf setting. I’m not sure.

Hi Pete

Many thks as always , have sent a PM

Just thought regarding a carling switch will be a lot easier than messing around cutting the dashboard, etc

as I’ve already got that centre switch panel fitted the carling switch should go straight in , alas it’s just these wires that I’m lost on

Extremely grateful to u and can’t thank u enough

It’s not much fun getting deep into the headlight switch. I can’t remember the details.
Though getting the cover off is easy.

It’s loosely based on an upside down Ford Focus/mondao design

I cut the two plastic bars off the rear of the large knob, this allows you to turn the knob to the left one extra position. (If you push in as well, to prevent inadvertent selection). This gives a parking light position like a Ford.

I simply added a wire between the rear P terminal and the 30 terminal on the cars connector.
Job done.
The cars cjb software was already programmed for the Job.
The dash lights are off and you only get one ding when you open the door.

Refitting the knob is a pain, so don’t do that mod. Laughing Rolling with laughter

That’s a very clever idea regarding parking light Bow down

Duly noted , won’t be touching the switch , many thks for the heads up

This is the small panel I can put underneath my existing one , found some examples

Thks again

I don't know what a carling switch looks like.

But at the end of the day a switch only needs to be 2 wires.
Other connectors could be for illumination, if it has night lights, or on indicators

Oh I see now.

So your just having on a on/off switch, so that is the top row of the table.
So pin 1 and 2 are the important ones

Ok, if you are trying to keep things simple these days (wise), you probably want to ignore the LR diagrams I sent. (as they are just a head ache)
And just do:

The terminals of your relay should be connected as follows:
85: Coil ground thin cable
86: Coil + to switch thin cable
30: In: Fused input 12V
87: Out: To spots

Then take a main beam feed to the switch

Here u go, pic of the carling on/ off switch

That’s what I also thought ref the wires on a simple on/off switch , indeed as u say , some more wires for the illumination

So main beam to pin 1
Pin 2 and 3 to the relay coil 86
Pin 7 earth
Pin 8 dash Illumination

The biggest problem is finding the main beam wire. And it could impact everything I said.
It's not prefered to take it from the stalk

How much of a hurry are you to install this ?

Bless u Pete ,This is the loom I’ve got

https://media.disco3.co.uk/ownerinfo/XQB50...%20DOC.pdf

No rush at all fitting it, have been ensuring that I get all the bits needed so doesn’t matter time scale wise as indeed would rather wait until I know what goes where

Very grateful and massive thanks Bow down

Use pin 16 ?
58 Red/Orange thin - +12v whenever lights are on. Manual or Auto (commands instruments on)
as per D3 instructions

Don't use pin 8 IGN as RRS instructions

Ok. I hope you got my email.

Thank u so much for the info, extremely helpful and see the diagram at the end of the pdf

I better copy this into a folder so then have the PIN numbers for the switch

so if I fit the genuine spot light wiring loom will that then resolve the main beam issue plse

Thks again and as always apologises being a pain

"LR 2 switch" are you meaning the LR fitted Aux lights switch?

It pushes in and latches and stays depressed till pressed in again. There is a light in it which illuminates when depressed. The light in the switch remains on when using dipped beam. (not sure if it's on with just side lights)
