Steering Problems

Bought a new D3 GS last September (after two very happy years with a 56 reg) and noticed immediately that the steering pulls predominately to the left. Took it back to the Dealer who said there was nothing wrong with it and it was normal. After a lot of argument, correspondence and a visit by some bloke from Land Rover, their position is that "it is within specification" and has "some camber sensitivity" and they're not going to do anything about it. During the last few months I've had a number of "loan vehicles" (all 08 and 58 reg) which all have the same problem. Has anybody else noticed this defect ? does anybody have an answer ?

Take it to France.

I always thought my last D3 was pulling slightly to the left. Then I took it to the continent, and immediately found pulling ever so slightly to the right!!

So, the camber explanation could be correct. The other thing you could do is get an independant geometry check. It won't cost the earth, and if it is out of geometry, they will fix it. You alswo have independant evidence to further your case with LR and get your money back.

Not the way it should be admittedly, but less stressful.

I found that changing out the cr@p tyres that came with the LR made all the difference in the world.

Problem solved! Mr. Green

It could be tyre depending. I have a feeling that the D3 is more sensitive for sideways pulling due to the road surface on my MTR's than on the wrangler HP's.
