Steering rack Fitting?
Has anyone here ever replaced thier Steering Rack?I need to change my mates and any info would be superb.Cheers All Steve

Had mine changed under warranty 18 months ago due to bump noises on rough surfaces. Sorted the problem, no idea re DIY as for me that means Destroy It Yourself!

Dealer did mine after it sprung a leak. I did try to get him to fit the RRS one, as its dampened where the D3's isnt. No sucess though!

Would hope its under warranty as my lad, who is doing an 'apprenticeship' with Jag/LR was changing one on a brand-spanker in the apprentice workshop on his day release course and came home bitching and moaning like a seasoned pro about it being a bas d to get the column to re-attach to the rack
Can't wait for him to work on some rusty old banger with a limited tool-kit on a cold wet day on the drive......
