Steering Wheel
Just jchaned the lower UJ on the steering column but now seem to have some play in the steering wheel that wasn't there before, how much if any is normal.==================================

Have you fitted it correctly?
Lower end has a notch for the retaining bolt to go through, top end should be fairly idiot-proof...My D3 Build Thread

Pretty sure I have, steering dead centre lower bolt to the bottom==================================

No play is normal at all and will fail a mot
On my vivaro van when I changed steering rack bottom bearing wasn’t in properly when I refitted so gave me play in the steering wheel till I traced it down and fixed itDisco 3 gone but not forGotten
