| Steering wheel audio controls |
|
My steering wheel audio control started to work oddly. When I push volume control down it changes the source and when I push the source button it changes the track when I am streaming from phone.
Last week it worked perfectly. Where I should start looking for this fault and how to fix it?

Went to eat a lunch and controls worked properly. After came back to work had the problem back again. Really weird.. Disco 4 SDV6 HSE 2012

I've had same issues... Only very occasionally, so although suggestion I got on here was dismantle steering wheel and check the clockspring (which allows wheel to turn whilst maintaining electrical connections ... I had to look that up 🙂) I think it's more likely a bit of grit in the joystick. .

I don't think I would like to dismantle the steering wheel first. Is that joystick easy to open? Disco 4 SDV6 HSE 2012

Haven't bothered. It's only happened half a dozen times, keep meaning to have a proper look but when I've tried I can't get it to misbehave. .
