Ive had this a few time over the last few weeks...
When I accelerate with my foot to the floor the accelerator occasionaly sticks leaving the throttle wide open. I have to stamp on the pedal a couple of times or hook my foot under neath the pedal and lift it up to release.
Its not really a problem unless i need to slow down.
anyone else had this problem and how was is fixed.
thanks Duncan

Have you run cables through from the engine bay into the car via holes close to the accelerator linkage. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I had a similar issue when I ran the two thick cables through the not used clutch mechanism hole. When I planted it, the accelerator linkage would jam against the shielded cable. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

ahh, that could be it then . I wasnt aware of where the accelerator cable went.
Ive got some flexible trunking that goes through the clutch hole with loadsa auxil cables running through.
did the cable stick on the cabin or engine bay side ? Duncan

The accelerator is an electronic one - there isn't a 'throttle cable / linkage'

When I said linkage I was referring to the bit ones foot presses on In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
