Stop that Sinking Feeling
For all us with Base and S models, who lower their seats every time you get in and out, try this, it works.

And I thought it was just me with sinking seats!!! Excellent tip, I shall rig something up in a similar fashion although pine might clash with my ebony interior

Yes, that is a very good idea as I thought I was shrinking when I first got the D3. The interior mirror kept getting higher and higher. But then as you may know by now, I think the base to S seats are absolutley aweful. Seats in a 1956 Standard 8 were far more comfortable.
Incidentally, LRCS state catogorically that I am the only one who has complained about the 'S' seats. Come on guys, get your EPQR's in now.

But don't forget that your body stretches slightly over night as your joints and muscles relax... compressing again during the day.
Seriously this is true and can make it appear that your mirror is wrong.

Now Simon in my case that is not happening anymore. The seat is sinking, because it is on high at the beginning of the week and at the bottom at the end of the week. The seat is rubbish.

Totally agree BN, drove me mad, went through a routine everytime I got into the seat..... 13 pumps down followed by 13 pumps up.... just to have the seat at the correct height. My dealer has looked into it, has had one or two complaints, his theory was to remove the handle but LR refuse to sanction any modification.
Used to have at full height but made you feel you were going to slide on to the dash!
Sat in an HSE today, georgous seats!!

Roddy, what I cannot understand is that just about everyone I speak to with the S seats is unhappy. The first time I drove the car I raised the seat and it put pressure onto my ankles, spine and hips. I have got LR to agree to modify the seat, but it has taken 6 months so far and I still have not managed to get the seat modified. However, it is NOT LR's fault it is the company who agreed to do it.
What is more rediculous, is that LR are going to pay and I would have thought the company doing the mod would have bent over backwards to work with LR. Sadly they have not.
If anyone out there is able to mod a seat professionally, I will ask my LRCS liaison to make contact and lets do it. I know exactly what is required and once done you can all get yours done. Slimer first thought I think.

Yes, I can't say too much yet as it is a one off at this point and I have fought very long and hard to get this far. When done I will let you all know.
