Random Extra Connection

I found this unused brown connection under the passenger side dash (US) near the door hinge. Any idea what this could be? Perhaps an option that wasn't offered on the LR3 SE. My airbag light is on too. Not sure if that's related.

Btw, I know the other cable is for the light under the glovebox.

D3 never had variable assistance steering.

Could possibly be the Powerfold mirror relay holder, though I expect it would be utilised on an SE My D3 Build Thread

Suggest that you list the colour (sorry color) of wiring attached to the plug. This should give an idea what it is in relation to a diagram. Thumbs Up Dave

Black
Black with green stripe
Yellow with green stripe
Yellow with red stripe
Green with pink stripe

I seem to remember that foldback mirrors were not fitted to USA spec cars? 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
