Sturgess Land Rover Leicester

Just picked up the D3 after I booked it into Sturgess Leicester for some work, namely the seat base issue (sinking/saggy seats). EPB whining and an issue with engaging 1st gear which is a known problem with the manual gearbox for vehicles in a certain Vin range. I went in armed with the relevant TSB's (courtesy of TFC, thanks Thumbs Up ).

Just have to say what brilliant service I received. All work was carried out over two days, friendly people no issues at all and they gave me a Defender to play with as a loaner. Very Happy

This experience has altered by perception of main dealers.

Servicing is still expensive mind.

They must be a dab hand at it by now -they've done my seats & EPB 3 times!

I've found Sturgess up to £200 per service cheaper than other local dealers. They pick up my car from the house, leave the missus something with wheels on and return my car later, fully serviced. All for no extra cost over the service price. Excellent!

Must be just me then, they quoted £350 for a 1st service Lakeland did it for £245. I tied the service in with a holiday in the lakes.

I shall talk to Sturgess for the 2nd service though.

Cheers,
YTA

My first Service was £297 at Sturgess, over 2 years ago. So £350 isn't a million miles out.
Stratstone Nottingham (then called Merlin) quoted me £539 at the time.

cheers
