Bought my car 07 disco from Sturgess leicester about a month ago. It has devolped a squeeling noise from my rear brakes the very next day it has been to hadley green barnet ( twice for the same fault) who were totally useles and I will never use them again, they managed to ruin my rear leather seat which I made them replace.
sturgess took the vehicle back and glazed and cleaned the rear brakes and claim the noise from the rear is fixed which it certainly is not as it was squeeling again the day it was bought back to me.
I spoke to Sturgess who claim the noise is normal they feel they have tested the car and there is nothing wrong with the brakes .
The car has been to landrover three times and sturgess are unwilling to do anything more about the noise.
Can anyone advise what this problem could be ( the is intermittent and is mostly heard when pulling away ) ?

Sounds like either a problem with the rear brakes or epb. (stating the obvious), new car, old, how many miles, recently been off road, type of noise - without seeing or hearing it - we can only guess.
If you are from Leicestershire and not London, I would take it to Trinity Land Rover in Hinckley rather than Sturgess. LRA take all Leicestershire cars to Hinckley or to Melton Mowbrey, they don't volunteer to take cars to Sturgess unless the customer asks . . . . . "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

I live in London...
car has 11000 miles, ex LR demo car and far as I know has not been off road...and the noise is a squeeling noise not a scraping noise ..anyhow sturgess dont seem to have a clue or not really bothered about the noise..Anyone know a good LR dealer ( service) in and around London?
