I think there are 2 types, 1.5W which I have and think are fine and another type which I think are 2W. You'll find more info on the site or just contact Ian at HIDS4u, he's really helpful

Having read through that thread I cannot work out if these led's will work in the turn lights.
My D3 has the heater as standard so that bit is covered.
Best regards
Chris
The Bulbs for the indicators are a larger fitting. I have the filament bulbs with chrome. LED's can be fitted as long as they are fitted a resistor, Ian (HIDS4u) might have more info.
When I mentioned about the heater I meant the oval timer for starting the FBH before you take a drive....
Is there any end to your shopping spree? And as for time, your pretty effective as well! I might just drop my motor off and ask you to do the same on mine
Slightly Off Topic: Just carried out a service on the motor and changed the diff oil front and back. Really easy to do and what a difference. Recommend it if yours is clocking up the miles...

Hi Martin,
Will check the timer out later.
End of spending will come on 1st July when we move over to the new company and we will then run the cars ourselves! The idea is to buy everything that is needed before then and it can be offset!
Finished a small detail on the car using two stage QD on the bodywork:

She is up to 85k now and still running like a dream. No expense spared if there is a problem.
Is it obvious with the diff oil?

Chris

Looking good!
My next purchase will be 20" wheels, side steps and possible grill conversion when I'm over in July. I'm buying most of the stuff in now and stacking it all up at my parents
The car had a slight whining noise, which I could hear on acceleration (only when I turned everything off) and after seeing how easy it was to change I thought I'd do as part of the service. The car's done 70k and here's what the plug looked like:

LR say that the diff oil should be changed after 100k, but after seeing how the plug looked I'm glad I did it and I think I'll be doing it more often.

Hi Martin,
Thanks for that. Looks like a sensible thing to do.

Hi Will,
Won't be a lot as they are not performance mods. I have only just done this so will contact the insurance company when I am back at work.
Best regards
Chris

Hi All,
Well I put the LED sidelights in and at the same time removed the orange reflectors from the front lights:

Was a very simple job to remove the reflectors. I used a heat shrink gun to warm up the glue around the light and it came off easily.
The apparent red on the right is a reflection from the house bricks.
However, I have not got the orange bulbs yet! Must get them on order.
Still thinking about changing to the D4 lights, but as far as I can tell I won't get the adaptive bit, so not sure if I should bother. A bit like buying a D4 and getting less than I already have.
Best regards
Chris

Oh yes, I spotted those, the led rings.
But I think they are no longer available in the right size. Is it 80mm I forget what I read?

Chris
