Sun tan lotion!

Help! Having applied sun tan lotion to my daughter for school, I have managed to get a perfect set off lotion finger prints on the metal door area behind the drivers and passengers window. The vertical Matt black section not the bodywork paint.

Cannot get it to clean off, any ideas? Thanks in advance. Me-2010 Discovery 4 HSE. Santorini Black, Privacy Glass, 20" 5 Spoke Diamond Turned Alloys, Rear Seat Entertainment

nope, respray of the panel - not a polish in the world that will get suntan lotion out of a paint panel once its tried Whistle .

Collected loads of cars including today a 09 Audi TT - leasing company charging for nsf door, rear bumper/tailgate to be resprayed for the same reason - twas not a happy chappy Shocked

A few years ago I had a Ford Galaxy and whilst parked at the beach somebody had obviously leaned against it with sun tan lotion on their hand as there was a perfect hand print on the side of the car Evil or Very Mad No amount of polish or T-Cut could get rid of it and in the end I had to have the panel resprayed Big Cry Cheers Ian

A few years back while I was travelling in NZ some mates put sun cream hand prints all over our hire car! Before we took it back we washed then off with shampoo, worked a treat! Worth a shot anyway if nothing else works!
