Surround cameras not working at speed ? MY13 D4

Surround cameras button grey out above about 20mph. I'm sure this didn't happen on my last one. Any one know if this is a new feature? Only drove it for the second time today as I've been away on a course.

Thanks

Steve

D4mation and Petersw are your cars both MY13s ? The only reason I ask is that my MY12 allowed cameras to operate at any speed. Not sure if the MY13 has a speed restriction in place yet as per Russells comment? Just need to check if its different between model years.

Best,

Steve

Are you talking about the "Cameras" shortcut button displayed on the home menu? That one does indeed grey out past 20 mph (therefore, I have removed the button from my shortcuts.) However, I can still access the cameras at any speed by selecting "Extra features" and then touching "Cameras". NAS MY2013 LR4.

Umbertob,

That's exactly it. Thanks fella. My only issue with this "feature" is that it appears to be a bit redundant given that you can just select cameras from Extra Features instead. I don't off road the D4, but if I did there "might " be the issue in the folowing scenario. Slippery track with limited clearance. Wheels spinning whilst maintaining forward motion. Wheels spinning at above 20mph, no one touch shortcut to cameras. If I've got forward motion then I want to keep it going so I don't really have time to negotiate screen menus. To be fair, this is a minor point and I as I said, the G4 is the one I use for off roading. Im sure there is a perfectly reasonable reason for it and I'm always ready to be educated Thumbs Up

Thanks Umbertob for confirming it for me. Appreciate it Thumbs Up
