Right. All solved.

The original dealer solution was to replace the entire suspension wiring loom - approx £150 parts and £1700 labour Thud Thud Thud Thud Thud

Got the technician out of the workshop with the wiring diagrams to try to find a fix which didn't involve 10% of the value of the car! Shocked

Turned out to be a relatively simple procedure of running a fresh wire from the blue connector in the wheel arch to the compressor. It's heavy gauge wire which had to be ordered in specially and it's not available seperately from the entire loom from LR Banging Head

Fix worked a treat and cost a helluva lot less that the original proposal. Thumbs Up

After some advice on this

Guys, I've just moved out to Cyprus from UK with my Disco (2004 D3) and within a week of arriving also developed a suspension fault. The car starts up, you can hear the compressor trying to kick in (real whirring noise never had before) it tries to raise but doesn't get anywhere then flashes up suspension fault. Local Cypriot dealer claims the compressor has gone (from a cursory glance!!!). However, where I am is really humid at moment and I'm wondering if it may be the wiring loom. Is there any way I can tell whether is the connectors or the compressor??

Thanks

Sand
