Could have popped the air dryer off the compressor. There is a plastic box underneath the left hand side, just in front of the rear wheel. If you remove the bottom of the box, then you can inspect the air dryer. If its popped, then there will likely be lots of small silica gel balls inside the box.
Usual cause is someone accidentaly jacking the car up using the plastic box as a jacking point instead of the chassis - a very easy mistake to make, which can break the compressor.

Not the end of the world. New compressors are on Ebay all the time for 400-500 USD.

Hi,
I have a old Compressor that has a nearly new dryer unit on it you can have.
The dryer unit was a new replacement when mine went pop, then about 9 months later the compressor itself failed.
Let me know if it's any good to you.

Hi Steve,
I'm afraid I am the LAST one on here to ask about a techincal question.
However my bro in law who is an oil rag fitted tue air dryer unit in about 20mins and all was well.
Well until the compressor failed some 9 months later of course!!
How does £20 delivered sound?

For future reference, Part Nos. are LR (worldwide) part Nos. Just because someone at a dealers "slings you a line", it doesn't mean that the part doesn't exist.
In future, please don't be so offensive. The Bearded Dragon
