Swapping from D3 to D4

I'm just upgrading from my beloved D3 after an eight year affair to a D4 and wondered if some of my kit was able to be transferred to the new (2012) D4 HSE.
Parts are
Expedition rack
Tow electrics and removeable tow bar
Cubby fridge.
Help and advice appreciated as always.
Cheers

I'd take what you can to put on your new d4. If it doesn't fit you can always sell it on

Nice one Glynne
Thumbs Up
Can't really be doing with stripping the old girl for parts that don't fit. The rack is excellent for spotting the car at distance in a huge car park. It also doubles as a luggage carrier when 7 seats are being used. Rolling with laughter
The cubby fridge works well for bait and the tow bar for the caravan. I have a Mantec plate fitted but I'll leave that on the D3 as it sort of goes with the LR front baby basher etc.
I now need 13 pin electrics for the D4 if anyone has the kit spare. Very Happy
Images of the old and new below. The wings are being removed and the SS imitation rock sliders are going back on.

Your D3 Mantec bash plate wouldn't fit the D4 anyway.

The D4 sump guards are a different shape. 2009 -2013 D4's all have the same fit. The 2014 MY is different again, I don't know if the 2015 has changed shape, I'd be surprised if it has though.

I had to buy a different plate for all of my Disco's Big Cry

Wiggs had tow electrics for sale & a sump guard
D3 electrics different.
Rack, tow bar & I'm informed the cubby will fit.

I've just changed up after having engine envy from driving SWMBO's, different but familier!

Hi 1967jester
The dealer (Indy) has supplied the tow electrics for £88 + vat and fitted for nothing, bless him. He's shipping across the fridge and rack also, I will be needing a ladder at some point but right now I'm a bit strapped to say the least. I'm having a hell of a job to remove the so called "removeable tow bar".
The key seems to work fine and the mechanism pulls out ok but will not turn. I've given it a good soak in WD40 overnight but it aint avin it! Evil or Very Mad
I'll leave it to the dealer.
The D4 has 12n 12s electrics already fitted and I didn't check the NSR stowage to see if there was a tow hook present in it's holder.
Does anyone know if the system needs to be told there is now a 13 pin set up rather than twin socket one?
Having driven the D4 it seems that LR listened. Just about everything is improved on the D4 on what was a brilliant car. I'll be sorry to see my D3 go but the pain is relieved by getting a D4.

LR service Ctr fitted my twin electrics & assume they've done any neccesary activations.
