Tailgate unlock

Hello,
Does anyone know how to get the tailgate to unlock by pressing the unlock button 3 times? My last disco 3 that I had for 10 years did it and my most recent acquisition will only open the tailgate by pressing the land rover button on the fob. It feels strange to not have the same method of opening so would prefer it to unlock via the unlock button too if possible.

Thank you
Smile

hi Cazhorsey
With the greatest of respect, I don't think anyone is going to tell you about changing the un-locking procedures of a D3, tailgate or otherwise without knowing a little more about you!!.

Hi Dillon and gundog man,

Thank you for your reply but I am not quite sure as to what you exactly mean. Knowing a little more about me?

Thank you - at least I know now. Despite being a d3 owner for 10years I also need to fill in my profile too to get advice on a public browsable forum. It must be the secret way in Thumbs Up z

Public browsable forum or not, it is often polite to help others to help you by completing your profile with car details etc. and even introducing yourself. Wink
Apart from that, there are a great number of different specs and models that may require some specific advice which will be tailored to the spec and model of your own car. Failure to disclose even the basics will definitely hinder a helpful response and is an indication why your own post has had such few replies.

The guys here are pretty knowledgable but they definitely aren't psychic. Embarassed

Welcome to the site, however have you survived 10 years of D3 ownership without being on this site.
These are just simple rules that apply to all, old and new, please don’t ask how to remove the tow bar without a key Whistle

It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
