Tailgate Won't Open
Opened the tailgate, threw daughter's suitcase in the back, shut tailgate and drove round the corner to drop her off at school for a trip to Spain.
When I got there, the tailgate refused to open either from the outside or via the two person trick of one pulling whilst the other is simultaneously pressing the dash lock/unlock buttons
Don't hear/feel any kind of microswitch click around the upper tailgate or any solenoid noises - doesn't seem to be the same symptoms as anyone elses reported on here....
Dealer visit I think...

Happened to me a good while back.
Dealer effectively had to 'break in' from the rear interior.
Might need some new trim afterwards.I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

SN - I had exactly the same problem and it appears that I was triggering the switch but not pulling upwards simultaneously. Sounds ridiculous, but it did the trick. Now, in one swift action, I just pull handle swiftly and don't release the upward pressure.
After 10 attempts, it locks-up and you have to reset the central locking.
