tailgate wont open

hi can anyone tell me which cable to pull once i have got the panel away to release the upper tailgate

i know i may sound thick but does the carpet panel come completely off the rear tailgate cos me hands wont take much more dont help when you've got a labrador trying to lick your face off i suppose

No not until you have released the tailgate, its hard on the hands, I uses a screwdriver to wedge the plastic cover off the mechanism and gain some hand space Altox GSM FBH controller thread
