Tempted by the next stage of the de-facelift
I live in Cornwall. Cornwall has large areas with limited light pollution (which I love), but it does mean that reversing at night can require decent reversing lamps. This was easily solved by taking the standard glow worms out and replacing with the thermo-nuclear LED version from Advanced Factors. They are worth every penny
What I'd not considered was that whoever was responsible for painting over probably 1/3rd of the reversing lamps with gloss black as part of the facelift was none too helpful!
So, now that I've removed "DISCOVERY" and replaced it with "LAND ROVER" (on the leading edge of the bonnet) and put the indicators back where the "SDV6" badges went, I'm now contemplating getting a set of the pre-facelift LED tail lamps. Am I the only one going against the flow here? 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4

Should be fairly easy, I'm sure there's plenty on here that would swap their red for your black

Have to agree with all you rant about! Is the wiring for the indicators still present?Captain Nick Medhurst would ask:
"What is the first rule when overlanding?"
I would Reply:
"Duratrac"

The issue with the black rear lights has been visited before on here. Think boringoldgit (Mr Advanced Factors) swapped some for the originals for the same reason you gave.
There will be a queue forming soon to take those rubbish black lights off your hands

I prefer the black now but they took a while to grow on me.

I'd add myself to the list as someone willing to swap once I pick up my new (to me!!) 2010 on Saturday.
I appreciate why people would want to switch back to the Red, but from a purely aesthetic perspective I think the Black suit a Santorini Black far better.

Blimey, I wish I'd called here earlier as I've just bought a set of the red LED lamps. Sorry to all of those that have offered a swap
To me, the level of light output from the reversing lamps is mission critical and with the car being red, the red LED lamps should be a much better match but, for virtually every other colour (especially black!), the black lamps do look good
As for the side indicators, there is no wiring present, but I've taken out the bulb assembly and I'm just using them as clear indicator coloured blanking plates; they look just fine 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Remember future buyers will want a facelifted car to look like one...

Absolutely, can't argue with that, but for the following two things that apply in my case:
1. I like to modify my cars and bikes to enjoy them just the way I like them and the next owner's of secondary importance and....
2. When it's 8-10 years old, with 240,000 to 300,000 miles on the clock (as I hope it will!), it'll be unlikely to qualify as prime retail stock 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
