It's only money. You'd only spend it on wine, women & song. And fixing the heating in the TeePee. Thumbs Up

Ha Ha, think I will be fixing the heater and forking out for a good valet on the tee pee now we can manage without out it for a few days, our poor daughter has had to go out freezing and smelling of cows !
To be fair our daughter much prefers going out in the disco or rrs with the sunroofs to gaze through , we only bought the tee pee because we have carer's once a week for rest bite and HSE wont allow them to lift her into a normal car , but so glad we did buy it or I would of been going everywhere on a tractor for the last month !

Cam tensioner has snapped away from the oil pump on 2008 dis

Mine has just done the exact thing on Christmas eve. I've got a friend who is a land rover technician sorting it. He has been working for LR for 20 years. He said he has never seen or heard of this before and taken my tensioner complete with the piece of oil pump casting back to LR. Does anyone know the part number of the new oil pump?

I'm surprised he never heard of this happening before, there are plenty of instances on here. 07/57/08 cars seem particularly although not exclusively susceptible. New style oil pump with strengthened webbing around tensioner mounting has been available for quite some time now.

Anyone who reads this forum will know that any car having a timing belt change should have this checked, and if it has the weak style of oil pump casing, change the oil pump.

Search facility is your friend. Thumbs Up

I just entered the words Oil Pump Part Number in the search box, and got a whole evenings worth of reading about the subject. 8)

Part number LR076782

Various Forum sponsors could supply.

The exact change is a bit vague. I think it was sometime early 58. I'm sure there was an 08.5 model.

Think advanced factors had the best deal going last time I looked. £120 for genuine.

or £147 from a citroen dealer

or course it will be more expensive to sort the damage
