Back on topic an instructor at the West Country Land Rover Experiance Centre advised me the wet grass and snow setting was very good for slippery conditions on the road. He also said there is no issue with leaving the car permanently in that setting.
I tried it today and it is fine for driving round the comapny car park but it would be too sluggish for me on the road unless it was sheet ice or snowy.2016 D4 Landmark

I also think (but i stand to be corrected) that the length of time off road settings are used/speeds etc is captured by the TR module for use by LR in diagnostics i.e. this fault was caused by abnormal use Mr Rogue, as we were able to see you changed TR into sand at 65mph, that'll be £'000's please
I live quite near 75 mile beach, which is actually about 30 miles long. What speed do you think I drive at to get from one end to the other?
Steve
I did say i stood to be corrected.
But thinking about this some more, i guess that LR Australia/SA/etc might have a different set of warranty rules compared to LR UK where we don't exactly have 30 miles of beach to drive along (at least not in one go). But i guess someone will probably tell me that there is a length of beach in the UK thats 30 miles long
