The wife and I popped along to MJ. Fews in Charfield, Gloucestershire today and had a test drive of a java black basic 7 seater D3. After that we hung around the Java Black HSE with a tent attached inside the showroom and then we took a 53 plate Disco 2 for a test drive.
Well, firstly Thanks to the staff at MJ.Fews for being so nice and supplying coffee and their attention. Of course without being prompted the salesperson told me that the basic 5 seat coiler was not a good purchase option for resale value.
Now to the vehicles, the wife really likes the D3 so it seems I am on course for buying one, will it be new or secondhand? I don't know as yet. Maybe just maybe a 2nd user HSE will not be much different in price to a brand new S!
The decider will be based on the fact that the wife says if I have a D3, she gets a conservatory on the house  and I will have to buy something else to offroad in
The disco2 was,as I have said, a 53 plate SE in silver. To be honest I didn't like it and neither did the wife...considering it had ACE etc etc the body roll was worse than my Disco 1 S.
We came away with a full brochure and a price list and now I will be scouring the web looking for a second hand HSE.
Now what colour should I be looking for and what cheapo cheapo (90, suzuki) off road toys are out there  regards
