Just back from another 2000 mile round trip to the Dourdogne. Can't think of another car that would have handled 2 adults, 3 kids, a Thule 900 roof box, 5 bikes on the back via MaxxRaxx, and several hundred gallons of cheap French wine by the time we packed to come home. the car was amzing and for that I thank her
The holiday park we were in was like a Disco showroom, amazed at the amount of 4's on show as well. We have driven to the Alps loads, which is pretty functionary, aim south, park up, ski, come home. The last 2 Summers we have done the Loire. Loved pottering about the back roads there. The roads are long, flat and great fun to drive. This was our 1st time in the Dourdogne and to be honest I didn't like it. The back roads were very windy, undulating, very narrow, with some guaranteed psycho coming round the corner on the wrong side. Think back to the Loire next year, the wine is way cheaper there to.
However we did a heatwave down there. This was one of the cooler days.
43 degrees in France, blimey. I've just come back from Furnace Creek in Death Valley, that was "only" 49 degrees!____
