We use back to back quite a lot in contracts and agreements. It’s commonly used to slave subcontractors to some terms from the master services agreement between the customer and prime contractor for example. Also used in payments sometimes - subs don’t get any money before the prime gets money from a customer.

Lorries are flatbeds and trucks have sides. Useage may have changed but that’s what it used to be in the days before articulated lorries appeared.2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.

One of my all time faves on pronounciation is from a travel program called globe trekker that SWMBO used to watch. One of the travelers, Ian Wright, pronounces water as “wo-a”

It is fairly common in cockney and other working class London accents to drop tees and aiches, so house is ouse etc. Both my parents were true born cockneys born within the sound of Bow bells.==================================

Lycra clad cyclists - today B road and 9 of them riding 3 abreast with 5 cars tailing along behind them at 15mph. Not a friggin care in the world ! how annoying it is as a driver to have these t ts hogging the road!
