Another thing that me off is drivers that sit in lane 2 or half way between 1 and 2 stopping cars coming around when the road is going into single. had one today in a honda who thought he would go into lane 2, so filled in the gap so he couldent get back in hahahahaha

Ady,
207 man is back again...
Does that mean we have to go back on the 207 site again for a rant and a giggle.
My bladder hasn't recovered yet from the last time.
I still think he's king of the rants, Only 3 posts and he's got the whole site ranting and a decent thread going as well. What you going to do to top that this time
Merry Christmas 207 you grumpy old beggar.

I wish more people would do this as it stop all the pricks who think they are better than the rest of us speeding down the outside lane thinking they can just jump in at the last minute. I once squeezed a BMW through the cones as he thought he could do exactly this, he got out of the car and so did I, he got back in his car and went red. Club Exped trailer

Neil
your quite entitled to your opinion as they are like , everybody .......But I think what's the point we are all going somewhere, trying to get there as quick as possible, why should I be slowed down by a t w a t who thinks he can just push in at the last minute? I've always found that a queue goes down a lot quicker when someone blocks the outer lane and prevents Jonny Important from strapping a large rubber dildo to their forehead and going on a Japanese style kamakasi mission in the outer lane. Sometimes Neil it's better to let everyone think your a clown rather than operate a keyboard and confirm it.

Lee you whoopsy-whistler, the merge point is where the lanes join, not where some self-righteous Northern poofter decides it to be. If you were more of a man, blah blah blah...... I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

That's not a child booster seat, that's a child. Very comfortable it is too. You still insisting on drinking that gay beer stuff? I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Can't remember what the road signs are like in the UK, but over here in most countries there will be an animated roadsign close to the point of merging that clearly indicates cars should merge at the point where the two lanes come together. It translates as "zipping" - i.e. cars merge alternately between joining and main lanes.
Its very effective and works (unless you are in Belgium...then everyone seems to think they must move over 5km before the road works thus leaving one lane completely empty... ) The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
