Third row map reading lights |
|
I am sure I have seen a post on this site but after searching and searching I cannot find the same post. Has someone managed to wire the third row map reading lights to the boot light to give an OEM look but brighter lights in the boot? I have already changed to LED but would like all three lights to come on in the boot area...
Do I need a lesson in searching or have I made this all up?

I looked at this, and quickly gave up as I then realised the lights have power and the switch is built into the light.
If you manage I would also be interested. 2010 Disco 4 HSE

Good point - I think if I made the change I want to make the switch would become redundant...

As I wanted to keep the option for both I just gave up.
It would be easy to modify the hoder and then just pass some wire across the boot headliner 2010 Disco 4 HSE

Personally for all the faff I would do what most others including myself have done and fit one or more decent LED lights into the plastic trim at the top of the boot opening. There is power there and plenty of space to work with. You'd only see it fitted if you went out of your way to look. I know you're after OEM but you can put something smart there very easily. I actually used a super bright, 12v waterproof, flush kitchen light fitting with its own switch. You don't have to have something big a plastic stuck on. D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

This is what I did in the end, got some cheap LED lights off ebay and mounted them to the inside of the plastic boot bit 2010 Disco 4 HSE
