Tickling her bottom

... well not quite...

When the D3 has been locked for ages, pressing the tailgate switch more often than not lowers the suspension by a bit... it sinks on the rear wheels (an inch or less maybe...).

My drive is slightly on a slope/dip (but only a tiny amount) so the front of the car would higher than the rear.

Normal?

Im sure I read on here a while ago that this is normal, something about ease of loading the boot.
I started off with nothing and Ive still got most of it left.

It is normal, but ISTR that this 'feature' was eliminated in a software update early on in the life of the D3. You might want to check that your car has had all the relevant updates.

Here you go, read this thread http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic16966.h...2Bupgrade.

You need to make sure it was carried out on your car, because I am sure this self levelling function was disabled as part of it. Its a while ago, so I might be talking Censored Rolling Eyes

Thanks, what's the easiest way to find out what upgrades/recalls the car's had? email the dealer?

Mine does this too and I put it down to waking the car up from its deep sleep and restarting the self-level function. My car had the enhancement package back in the day so not sure there is a link to that particular package.

An email to the dealer should do.
