I know this is an old one, but did you ever get this resolved? I have the exact same symptoms....

I presume this wouldn’t be an option on my ‘07 D3?
Would be great to go out to a warm car in the morning Smile

Both my 2010 and 2016 did the same. If the coolant is still warm, remote heating runs the fans but not the FBH no matter how cold it is outside. There must be a point where the coolant temperature drops to a certain point and it will run but I've never been able to establish what it is. Last winter at -3 outside and a warm engine sitting for two hours wasn't enough.

Always works first thing on a cold morning though so that's what really counts! I think that's just the way it is.

Disco3ben,
There’s a different aftermarket option for your D3.
I can supply those as well. Thumbs Up
I’ll drop you a message. Thumbs Up

As for the D4’s not firing the Fbh, discoteca is spot on. The D4 will monitor and decide if the Fbh will fire up.
It monitors
Battery voltage
Fuel level
External air temp
Existing water temp
 Bodsys Brake Bible

D4/D3 Remote FBH heat kits
BAS Remaps/ EGR Blank
Transmission Flush
Software updates/enabling

Clock/ SNOTM /3Flash / 4x4Info /BT Update /Service Reset/Error Codes / Gearbox Reset

From my other thread it would seam that manual heat button is a REST button to use "Residual" Engine heat rather than an FBH start up function.

My timed climate wasn’t working initially as some of the CCF setting were wrong. Once I changed them the timed climate works.

I haven’t really needed to use the park heat, but my understanding was it should fire the FBH and provide heat to the cabin or use engine coolant temp if warm enough.
