Timed Climate Temperatures

OK, lets assume that the car is full of fuel and it's been sitting long enough that the car temperature is the same as the outside temperature. The car timed climate is set to come on...

At what temperature does the heater activate rather than it just putting the vents on?

What temperature does it aim to get the car to? Temperature on the climate dials? Other temp? No specific temp?

Just trying to understand it all after Wiggs kindly activated it for me Very Happy

Have had it warm when I got in when it's been 2 or 3 degrees in the morning, but for example the last couple of nights coming out of work it was around 7 or 8 degrees and wet so felt pretty cold but no warm car Sad The vents were blowing when I got in but there was no heating.

Paul.

the FBH is still only designed to come on at below 6 degrees .

so if its 7 degrees and you set the timed climate to come on ...it will but the FBH wont ....so you would only get the ambient temp pumped into the car .

if your car was warm (just driven somewere for example ) and you set the timed climate ...it would only heat the car with whats available (engine coolant temp )

i may be wrong ...but thats how i understand it .

Thanks Smile It's a shame they didn't think to have that changeable on the screen.

Do you know what temperature (if any) it tries to get the interior of the car when the FBH activates?

it used to be 15 degrees or there abouts on my MY10. cant find any info in the MY12 manual.

ie below 15 degress and the heater worked, >= and it vented instead.

cant remember the exact temps but was certainly in the mid to low teens

Have had the heater working via the timed climate a temps around the 7/8 degree mark as indicated on the screen in the car, however that was blowing outside and felt a lot colder. On a still day with same indicated temp the heating did not cut in so am not sure of the answer as it seems to vary slightly.
