hi all, when it is raining heavy or when a large bug hits the roof where it starts to incline up, it sounds very loud, like being in a tin roof shed. Have l/r forgotten to put soundproofing in my one, or is this a general symptom?

You would think that LR would have put some sound deadening on the roof to take away the 'tinny' sound when rain hits the roof. Is there anything that can be done...? Has anyone a solution? MG

I was amazed when I heard rain on my roof for the first time last week. It makes the vehicle sound tinny. I've got the alpine (glass) roof, so there is very little metal up there, even so it doesn't sound good. It a bit embarrassing when you have passengers!
Maybe fill the roof lining with expanding foam might be a easy way to improve it. It will make it almost impossible to remove the roof lining though without destroying it. Not a good idea if you have a sliding sunroof though! Matt

Turn up the excellent sound system, which also drowns out SWMBO
