Dealers are very quiet this time of year, why not go and order the right new car for you (should there be nothing avail) and hatch a deal with a Dealer to loan/rent a used car from them until yours arrives. I'd be surprised if you have to wait that long for a new one?
Maybe buy a used car from them and do a buy back agreement for the used car once your new D3 arrives, sort of a stop gap measure?
I decided to buy a D3 on a particular Saturday, drove it away the following Saturday and the delay was mainly for the fitting of the extras that I wanted!
If you are keeping it for 4 years then I would consider buying new considering the amount of money involved.Back in the game!

That's the basis for buying mine new (Except I have a little more patience... ), I want it covered for as long as possible under wty and then I also will know how it's been treated and what could potentially go wrong with it
Still don't know if they can change the spec yet hope to get further on it tomorrow as haven't had much time today.Bodsys Brake Bible
Just had a look on drive the deal. An SE with Xenons, Sparkly paint, active diff, privacy glass, PTI and a Full size spare comes out at £35,253. I might save £3k on a 12 month old one.....
Hmmmm, that "buy a used but order a new one" idea is starting to appeal. PTI and Privacy can wait, but really want xenons and the diff, so could get it for £34,630.
errrr..... Right, I need to do some more research!I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

By waiting to the end of March (end of dealers 1st quarter) I saved much more than any internet site offer.
It was a bit tense, as I didn't know if the deal was going to happen or not until mid April, but I wasn't desperate.
If you search this forum, you'll see that last year it wasn't too hard to buy a new TDV6 HSE for £38k from a main dealer.
I think that HSE's appear to have bigger discounts.

do yourself and favour and really search the internet sites through land rover. there was a closed auction going though at land rover just before xmas and nobody was bidding on cars. the online auction was basically empty and a great deal of HSE's went for silly cheap money. we had 55 and 06's upforsale for 34/35k
they didnt last long....selling land rovers is like making love to a beautiful woman.....
you dont mind getting stuck in the brown stuff from time to time.....
