Well remembered monkey, but unfortunately before my time!
Rolling with laughter

If that a Censored hole only got his car scratched then he got off lightly. My revenge would be a lot more imaginative and much sweeter - if I was of a mind you understand!

Whistle Whistle Whistle

I doubt we'll see the likes of him here again (or Bay)

When we get the answer let me know - the passenger side of the gutless Opel Corsa I had in Spain this week ended up with a goodly dose of bramble rash after I took it 'off-roading' into the Catalunyan Mountains on Friday Whistle Almost as bad as my D3 - good job I paid for the absolutely everything insurance when renting it Whistle shame it only had 1600k's on it when I picked it up Laughing

My Brother actually caught somebody in his car on the drive about two years back. The bloke he caught got a telling off by the attending policeman. My brother got arrested, for assault - go figure.

I had a 'friendly warning' from local Plod after apprehending the little b@st@rd who kept nicking my car stereo from outside the house. (Oadby was such a lovely place to live!)

He was such a dumb @ss that he always ripped-off my stereos (to pay for his drugs) on a Fri or Sat night - so I stayed up, dressed in all black with a black (and very threatening) hoodie, and then nabbed the scum-bag whilst wielding a large aluminium baseball bat (which I just happened to have handy).... Little git never bothered me again Thumbs Up

Any advice on smaller scratches?

Got back to my car yesterday and there are several light scratchs 2"-3" long (through the clear coat but not into the base).

Looks like some Censored has been shining the door for me with their Censored in some rivited jeans or something???

Not very impresses as I have only had the car a few on months!

Any advice on how best to polish these out would be greatly appreciated!

PS - I have a mate who caught a young toe-rag through his window when returning from the pub - he played league ice hockey and did Ju-Jitsu. Same thing he got into more trouble than the young Censored ..........mind you he was sat on him, having a cup of tea and a biscuit (that his Mrs had brought out to him) when the police arrived! Bow down
Don't worry..... it only seems Kinky the first time you do it!

Small scratches can be polished out using a decent buffer, foam pad(s), and a paint safe polish.

In the US, the Porter Cable is the buffer of choice - you can use in the UK with a 240-110v transformer

Good run down here:

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=52

See how he uses foam polishing pads, and a car polish (that's polish, not wax) to buff out scratches.

I've used this device and method myself, and it's easy to use, and gets great results.

I use the buffer to polish the whole car now, and then apply a final wax or sealant to keep it easy to wash and keep looking great.

Worth the investment as you'll use again and again over the years.

Here's the Porker after a work over with the Porter Cable:
