Tonga Overland Special - Project 2
I have just bought a 2006 7-seat Auto in very Dark Blue (looks Black) for my next project.
I want it to be different from G4 Black to keep me interested but it must have very aggressive tyres, lots of lights and a snorkel/rack/ladder etc... (Ideas please)
Also this one has air suspension & terrain response being auto. Does anybody know if its easy to raise the standard ride height by say 4mm to get the clearance for the KL71's - I am sure it can be done with Test-book/Fault-mate or similar. If not do I need rods....?

Just my luck that this D3 has short roof rails already fitted and the racks above do not need rails!!

The Blue D3 fell through at the last minute so I have bought a very nice Tonga/Alpacha "S" with triple sunroof, heated seats x4, reversing warning, climate control and best of all "auto" with terrain response.
Planning Big Tyres, Black roof Rack, Tree Sliders, Under Body protection, Sump Guard, Light Guards, Big Lamps, Ladder, Snorkel and more....

I was thinking that an Overland Style rack would still let lots of light in as its only has a few cross members?

Faultmate MSV2 can get you a suspension lift of about an inch, shortened rods about 2". Club N.E.R.D.s

Excellent a man in know
Is that a permanent "Normal Ride " Height adjustment with Fault-mate?
Also are there any disadvantages to using "Rods" ?
Thanks
