Tool kit missing

Well, got the new to us Disco 4 XS home, went to put the RLD on, only to find one of the other owners has taken the tool kit!
Rear parcel shelf missing too, plus the tow ball and the owners manual.

Grr...

I was able to operate the screw to bring the tyre down(that’s a full size I’m glad to say) so tge RLD is now fitted.

Why do people do this? Surprised to bulbs are in place lol

I wouldn’t fret too much, the original tool kit is pants quality. Better to keep a decent socket and breaker bar in the car. As for the jack, forget it!

Yes you do. The standard jack is good enough for emergency use only. Do not trust it for anything more.

I have a 3 ton trolley jack and stands for use at home. Make sure the jack has the height to lift the car properly off the ground in off road height.

I wouldn't use the D3 jack for anything - I believe it Censored dangerous.

The Disco 1 bottle jack is much better and is adequate under the suspension arms for wheel changes. Readily available second hand at prices form c.£30 to £60.

Anything more than that use a decent trolley jack & axle stands.

Likewise the standard tool kit is pathetic. I have a decent socket set and a selection of tools in a Really Useful Box.

It was my socket set I used to wind down/up the spare wheel.
I have 2.5 tonne axle stands, had them since our first Ranger, but need a new trolly jack.
Group buy for trolley jacks? Lol

Cheers all

Lol, well the garage we bought it from is sorting out a LR tool kit, but another question for you geniuses out there.
I asked about sidecsteps, and members pointed me in the direction of eBay and this kit

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Disc...1661040623

Do any if yiu know, does this fit tge same way as the JL`r ones?

Reason I ask, is that it appears nit content with taking the tow valley, tgen tool kit, the owners manual, the took off the side steps too!

You couldn’t make it up.... Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

I would then put it aside & replicate it with decent quality tools. Either sell it or keep it to include with the car when you sell it.

steps were an option ... probably would've cost more to get new sill covers fitted (you cut them to fit steps) than a set of steps would sell for.
