Tools and Parts Advice - Pre-Service Work

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone can advise where to purchase the following tools:

Axle Stand x2 (3tonne)
Trolley Jack (3T)
Front and Back Discs
Brake Sensors
Caliper Squshing thing?

I have booked in for a LR (Tonbridge) Service but would like to limit the 'Damage' by replacing the discs before it goes in.

As always, you wise word are mostly welcome!

If you want good quality parts and tools then look at Advanced Factors, plus you get a board discount.

A G clamp with a flat piece of metal or old pad works much better the swan neck pliers to be honest.

Regarding the trolley jack and stands, please please make sure you get a decent set of both. I recently had my D3 slip off my trolley jack and got lucky that it did not damage anything nor hurt me.

I’ve since scrapped my cheap jack and bought a decent one from SGS Engineering. Have a look at their website and you’ll see they are not that expensive. My new one is a 3T with an extra jack pad at about £100 and is miles better than my old one.
