| Top Rear Tailgate won't open |

Hi
Just registered to this fantastic site
Can anyone help, I have an 54 reg that I have owned for the last 4 years and loved every minute but this week the top tailgate has refused to open. When I operate the button under the handle the lock does make a noise but does not release. Is there a way of getting into the mechanism with both taigates shut?
Any help would be very wellcome

hi undo rear catch cover probably find screws turn in cover and you will have to force it of and glue back on on mine little clicker switch was seized so little bit wd40 worked fine ever since give it a good hard bang whith your fist will prob get it open so you can get to screws gbrooks
