D4 Commercial 255 with 8 speed cloth but with some good bits
I'm looking at a 2012 commercial with comfort pack(which I believe includes bright pack) cold pack exterior, no leather or sat or good stereo, 255 with 8 speed and tow pack immaculate 4,500 miles stoneyaway grey metallic with 20 inch wheels
£30k plus vat 10k trade in on my 2005 hse 100K miles i'm in the towing business looks good to me and I think the difference between the D3 and the 8speed D4 is big comments pls
also could have some D4 LED rears for sale!!!

I got a 2011 commercial and it has no sat nav and basic stereo and I have put a brodit bracket for my iPhone on the dash (no holes fixing).Then downloaded the Tomtom app for sat nav. Works great and I prefer this to the sat nav in my other Landmark D4.
I use mine for towing on a daily basis mainly Mini digger and 2.6t cherry picker with no problems, just check it has had the latest software upgrades for the turbo, when fully loaded and going up steep hills the engine electrical fault warning message came on and put me into safe mode. 30 minute software update in Matford Landrover sorted fault and it has never been an issue since.
I also have a Isuzu D max which has now been given 3.5t towing status but when towing with it you know you have a trailer behind, where the Landrover D4 takes it all in its stride fully laden and returns me 23mpg.

I've covered 80K towing(sometime a little more than I should) with my D3 is your the 255 8 speed?

Forgot to say I had a D3 before this and yes big difference between the two. My D4 has 6 speed box so can't comment on the 8 speed although there are threads on here about some 8 speeds suffered with a delay when pulling away, see the threads with Liam MY18 RRS Autobiography Fuji White

Absolutely right, I have a tacho in my D3 as I move boats around, as its a pre 23 March 2006 its a paper and in the small glove box, they want 1,500 for a new tacho for the D4 and want to put it where the two cup holders are, I need one I just don't want it there!!!

That's what i'm looking into my current one on the D3 is in the small upper glove box, officially should not have the cover on it so always visible!!!!
