Good brake pads
Hi. I'm looking for suggestion as to what brake pads I should get for my disco 3. A relatively new disco owner and wanted some ideas as what to buy. Primarily road use at the min, with nothing overly heavy being towed behind her!

Avoid Mintex at all costs
Stick with OEM Ferodo pads, or upgrade to EBC ceramic pads

I bought a 3 year old d4 a few months ago with full LRSH except the tight previous owner got cheap pads fitted to the 65k original discs. The rear disc is warped due to epb warranty repair and Landrover did not change the disc and it makes horrible squeeking noises when you touch the brake. Brakes are not reasuring and will be changing the lot soon. Anyone want to make a guess which pads they are will confirm when I change them. Is it worth going pattern or just go genuine.D4

Cheap brake parts are generally just that ......cheap! Performance is usually poorer and as already said lots of brake dust. Particularly If you use your disco for towing I would stick to oem

The brakes were poor on my d4 pulled them apart yesterday and found original discs now 70k miles and new unipart brake pads. I would say unipart stuff not great.D4

I've just changed my front pads for EBC Ultimax 2 and I am not impressed at all. Fade comes on far too soon as does overheating. As soon as I can find some spare time they will be changed.D3 TDV6 SE Auto; Glass Roof; 19" wheels with GY Wrangler Duratrac; side steps; opticool glass; xenon's; tow pack; mud flaps; Fremax front discs, EBC Ultimax2 pads, rest as SE Spec.
