Folks,
don't know if you know that there are lot of different diesel versions according to temperature climatic zones. EN590 specifies 6 different zones with low temps from +5 deg C (Class A) to -20 deg C (Class F). In central and western europe winter diesel must meet Class F conditions. But this doesnt mean that greek diesel must also meet Class F spec - if they ever have winter diesel. If this diesel meets only Class C spec (-5 deg C, standard "summer" diesel here) our greek mate will have a major problem while watching the Akropolis in snow !

@apostolos1971:
You should try to find out the specification for diesel at your favourite fuel station - remember the attendent is always your friend while owning a D3/D4. According to this result you will have to use additives.

Further information to diesel specs can be found at Wikipedia.

Thanks a lot for all the info.

I already ordered a box of Wurth diesel antifreeze for this winter.
I also ordered a Wurth product to help keep the diesel tank cleaner, and the engine working
more efficiently...

Is there any system to start the engine by remote control?
Is there any aftermarket system to connect the vehicle to
a socket so to keep it heated overnight?
Either two options would help in starting easier(second option), or finding the cabin at least, warmer.
Need to sent some pictures so you can see the amount of snow we
sometimes get up in the mountains.

Defa & Calix supply plug in heating systems (mains)
i have engine heater, interior heater and Battery charger/conditioner fitted.
Use time clock for 1 to 2 hours before using car depending on temp. it goes below -30 here and works great.

The thread revival would work better with some pictures!
