Brake pad warning lights and computer message on !!

Just has front pads discs and one caliper changed on 2008 D3 and rear pads, car was brought back from Garage and left with my wife with yellow brake warning light still on and check brake pads message in Computer !! This has never happened before with my usual garage !
Guy who dropped car back told my wife it must be a wire missing ? Called garage and they sent a guy out who brought his diagnostic tool with him, said it was nothing to do with the work they had done, some gobbledygook about a brain that's linked to parking brake module and reversing sensors that needs 're programming and can only be done at main dealers. The fact this happened when they did the brakes is just a coincidence ?? Find that hard to believe but would appreciate any ideas suggestions from the group ??
By the way this wasn't on before the brakes where done !

Sound like they have not connected or fitted a new wear pad sensor, should be included in the job!

There certainly isn’t now, amateurs Rolling with laughter
Which side did they fit the new calliper to? Was the brake warnings light on before they did the job?- if it was they have not refitted the wear sensor cable, these cables need replacing if the warning light has come on. Thumbs Up

That’s the side the sensor is on, move suspension to off road height and look if you can se an electric cable going into the disk brake pad, if it’s not there they haven’t fitted it, if it is there they haven’t fitted a new one which is normal procedure. Thumbs Up
