Finally got round to it (lower steering)
After having the bottom steering column UJ unit in the garage for almost a year now, I finally got my a*se in gear and did it this weekend.
What a difference - no more bump steer, no more tramlining - now feels solid as a rock. Can't believe I put up the 'loose wandering, not in charge feel' for so long - I'm begining to think it's been that way since I bought her some 3+ years ago
Magic job

That's sounds good then Steve. I have to admit I must replace mine at some point soon when I get around to it.

Took me about an hour - not difficult but a bit awkward especially the bottom bolt.
I found it much easier to remove the bottom of the aux tray etc - only took 5 mins but made it all a lot simpler.

It must be a lower steering column 'thing' as I've had mine kicking around in the garage for over a year too, for some reason (unbeknown) its never been done Thanks for reminding me to bring it back on the 'list' 8)
