Well, I'm aiming to be at Wiljo's place first thing (assuming Wiljo is OK with that)

Timings needed
Wiljo - 120mins or 160mins depending on a few options
kkees - 80 mins + a bit of extra time if can get the extra bits in time.
Dan_NL - 30 mins
Michele - 30 mins

I know from experience of when there are a few D3 owners together, that the timings will go out of the window as you all ask so many questions Laughing Thumbs Up

Some of these jobs can be done on other cars whilst the main updates are being done, so not a problem for you to overlap. I have several methods of updating cars, so the overall time may be less

I've not heard from Cartouche, his jobs would be 160 mins

MarcL, yours will be Sunday

Do any of you have a ctek MX10 or similar, just to keep batteries charging up. I'll bring my MX25 to ensure the cars keep charged during the updates, but another charger would be useful to prepare them.
An extension lead would be useful addition as I wont be carrying one of those over!

Wiljo, Is there wifi there? Not essential but thought I'd ask.

Hi Ian,

well it all depends on what 'first thing' is for you Laughing As you have a 1,5 hour drive to do I would suggest starting 09:00 or 09:30, which will allow me to have breakfast with the kids. If you want to start earlier, I could open up and then leave to have breakfast (I live 6 km away) and come back. It would be nice if you have a 'bigger' job to do then (say Cartouche's, if he's coming).

Is there anyone on time restraint? I could suggest starting with my car at, say, 09:00 leaving you all with times from 10:30, please indicate your wishes here. If no other schedules than my suggestion would be starting at 09:00, do my car first leaving you all room for breakfast and trip to Duiven.

I do not have a battery charger. There is mains power in the building and I have asked the tenant if there is wifi that we can use. If they have no wifi then there is none. There is 4G coverage so we could set up a hotspot using a phone.

Ian, have you informed everyone of the amount they have to pay? Or do you accept bank cards Laughing

Regards,

Wiljo

I will be there around 11 or 12. If you want me to be earlier it is okay with me. I just have an optimate III, but that is a trickle charger.

Wifi is arranged.
My brother's charger is there. It's a 24 volt that can switch to 12v.
I don't even know what it looks like or how it is operated but I suppose one of us will get it to work.

Excellent, Just finalising the kit to bring over Thumbs Up

Flight booked, Car hire booked, any idea on a Travelodge type place somewhere nearer to Duiven for Friday night and then somewhere back up towards Amsterdam (but not in Amsterdam) for Saturday?

Used to stay at the Crowne Plaza or the NH Central when staying in Amsterdam regularly, but looking for something a bit less corporate and a bit more just chill/sleep.

Plenty on the net, but other than the bigger chains, i dont really know whats OK and whats 3rd hooker on the left! (looking for the OK ones as opposed to the latter!)

There are two hotels in Duiven, one is called Hotel Duiven which is supposedly businessmen but nice. The other is Van der Valk Duiven, a lot bigger but I think these are good value for money.

They are both at just a few km from my location. Both are easy to find, I have never stayed at either obviously.

If it were me I think I would choose the Van der Valk as I expect the other will be deserted on the weekend.

Finally got here after watching the hire car company get a locksmith who couldn't open the key deposit box and reverted to a reciprocating saw!

Hotel not bad at all, especially for only £80 for the two nights inc breakfast!

Just on the wifi in the bar Whistle Thumbs Up

Same feeling here. Nice to see some known and new faces, talk about our toys.
Thanks Ian for coming over and sharing your knowledge - and good company.
The only shame is that we had no moment when all the disco's were in, it would have made a nice picture.

Having a 300 km drive today so I'll properly get used to the new tricks.

Regards,

Wiljo
