Cleaning and polishing ........

Had a quick scout around before posting this so hope it hasnt been covered somewhere else

In the last few months I have accumulated a fair amount of mud at various inaccessible parts of the bodywork. Having jetwashed the safe places and scrubbed the bits I can reach there seems tobe a fair amount of dirt sitting around just out of reach.

How thorough do you have to be with these modern vehicles when trying to remove dirt to stop corrosion? I hope that there is no need to get the paintbrush out and manually go scrubbing every seam and join!!!!!!

Thanks in advance for advice

I just went back in time and realised that I want to drive a Disco3 round San Francisco ...... some of those hills will be a giggle with HDC switched on!

Suddenly wanting to drive down embarcadero to Pier 19 and off over Golden Gate .......

All of a sudden I dont really care about cleaning the car again ...... but how the hell do you get a rust spot in SFO ? It never rains!!!!!!!

I work at McCormick Tractors in Doncaster and we have a paint plant manufactured by Haden. Land Rover also have a paint plant manufactured by Haden and it is without doubt the best paint plant in the industry. The pre-treatment and painting that is carried out there is flawless. if you did find rust on your 06 then i would suggest that there has been either a flaw in the substrate (unlikely) or that there has been damage to the paint (most likely).

Really it is an amazing plant, ours is good but theirs is the dogs.
