| servicing bristol area to main dealer or not main dealer |

I have a dilemma , I have always had my D3 an 07 services from new by land rover main dealer yeovil , service has been excellent but its main dealer prices and as the car has got older , I am trying to do the things that go wrong myself with the help of the excellent stuff on the forums. But what i don't know that the benefits of the main dealer give me is what needs doing if it isn't obvious.
So my dilemma , do i continue with main dealer but ask for a list of all items that need doing or do I use an independent and if so does anybody know a good one around the bristol area?
Any thoughts welcome.

Hi chris
when my D3 went out of warranty, CarcraftHMC in Bedminster did all my maintenance work.
Ive been using them for the past 20 years and they are always very open and honest about what needs doing - and very reasonable rates. they don't have the specific diagnostics to do all the D3 electronics, but are good with the mechanical stuff
if I still have the D4 when it leaves warranty, i'll be taking that to them as well.
