Well the TNT man have just given himself a hernia carrying a parcel to our door.
Just a small steering guard and transmission guard. he had it over one shoulder. 35kgs and awkward to carry too.
I also forgot SWMBO works from home on a Friday now so also got busted.

So you went for the Terra Firma gear in the end.
It's always nice getting nice goodies in the post.
Post up some pictures when you get it fitted.
Cheers

Yes I did I couldn't warrant the cost of the D44 lot.
Total cost for both was just over the cost of the steering guard from D44.
There seems to be very little love for Terra Firma on here. Have I missed something. The stuff I have received seems very good quality at excellent prices.D3 HSE TDV6 Auto. Bonatti Grey.

So fitting the steering guard and transmission guard this morning. Steering guard fitted no problem. Transmission guard will fit apart from fixings at the dear. I have 4 holes at the rear in 2 pairs. I presume the guard should attach to that cross member by the centre diff. There are no bolt holes to attach it too. Should there be ??
Thanks.

Are the pairs running for-aft or across the vehicle? If the former, might it be designed for a U-bult similar to those used extensively by some trailer manufacturers?Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

So some pictures of the fitting and kit. All in very pleased with the quality and fit of the steering guard. Still uncertain as to how to fix the dear of the transmission guard so that is still currently in living room. The quality is excellent and fit is spot on.

Very nice
I was looking at the Terrafirma steering/sump guard as a potential purchase once the 105k service is out of the way. Cheers Yogi
Pm sent Allan.
A thought that has just occurred to me is that most other guards have a row of holes to allow air flow. I am wondering if this will affect performance.D3 HSE TDV6 Auto. Bonatti Grey.

The cross member should have some holes in it. 'Other' makes of Good Vehicle Protection use a flat steel bar about 6" long with an M8 tapped hole in one end to use as the 'nut'

Thanks Kingmav.
The steering guard uses the same idea at the front to attach to the front cross member. The holes did seem to line up at the rear but I will have another look. I didn't fit the transmission guard to the steering guard so I could've just miss aligned it.
I had come to the conclusion something was missing.
