Mixing tyres
Are there any rules on mixing tyre types on a D3. As my Pirelli Scorpions wear out, I was planning to put on part worn Wrangler HPs to use up their tread. I'd try and keep the tyres on the same "axle" the same but is even that necessary?? I'd hate to throw out a tyre with good usable tread because I don't have one of the same type to put on the other side, or even have to replace all the tyres at once .as one is down to the 2mm level. Any thoughts??

I've got a scorpion on my front right wheel since my little expedition on Sunday, and wranglers on the rest, all worn pretty much the same, and haven't noticed any difference! It's probably best to have tyres with a similar amount of wear on the same axle though.IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver

Was going to make sure that they had about the same tread depth, wouldn't want to put a new tyre with 8mm tread on with one that is about done with 2mm. I've just bought used 19"s Wranglers but one has little tread left, I was thinking of using the untouched Pirelli Scorpion spare but would have to mix that with athe best of the Wranglers.
Life is soooooooo complicated!

I think I'd like to change my opinion on handling with mixed tyres. Steering is a bit vague with my present combination actually. At least it won't be long till I've got AT2s on instead though.IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver
