Plans For The Future...
Now that I have my Land Rover D3, and I’ve been driving it on and off road for a bit, I’ve come up with a list of things I’d like to do… This list is in no particular order, and if anybody has any advice on the list or thinks I should add to it in anyway please chip in!
Maybe I’ll edit this post as the YEARS go on, hopefully crossing them off as I can afford to do them... And probably adding more to it!
So here we go.
1. Window Tints
2. Full vinyl wrap – Probably matte black!
3. Roof rack – Full length that I will adorn with lights!
4. Remote setup for FBH
5. Dual battery with split charge
6. All Terrain tyres
7. Engine Re-map or a ‘plug & play’ chip
8. Upgrade ICE to accept iPod/iPad
9. V8 brakes?
10. Under body protection
11. Winch?
12. Diagnostics Device
13. Vehicle Witness Camera
14. D4 Steering Wheel Conversion
15. Blank EGR's
16. Update Heated Washer Jets
When I was thinking about this post, the list seemed a lot longer!
I’m not sure I’ll have too much call for a winch either… But if I ever run out of things to buy!07 Land Rover Discovery III HSE

1. Waxoyl/rust protection?
2. Treesliders?
Actually for the first I need to find someone how can treat mine to a bit of TLC, little rusty at the back on my D3.

Around the rear lights or on the tail gate?
A lot of people seem to dislike the sidesteps and change them to sliders... But I quite like them! Also, the missus would kill me if I got rid of them... Even at access height she needs to stand on them!07 Land Rover Discovery III HSE

Underneath on the chassis - if you pull off the towing electric cover it's a bit nasty in there for a 10 year old.

2. Full vinyl wrap
I got a quote from a local company in South Shields... Local to me anyway!
£1,600 using the best quality 3M products, to do everything but the wheel arches and bumper corners...
Think I'll have to save up!07 Land Rover Discovery III HSE

I've reached a This is my 100th post!
I've decided to add a Diagnostics Device to my list.
Not really an add on to the vehicle itself, but an invaluable piece of kit to keep in my tool box!
With so many different ones to choose from (& just missing two in the 'For Sale' section) I just wondered if anyone had any advice or thoughts on which one to go for?07 Land Rover Discovery III HSE

I've had the IID tool for the past few months, has been really usefull with my EGR issues as well as being able to clear faults. It can also be used to change the CFF file, as an example I now have the reversing lights come on when I hit the follow me home lights on the key fob
There are quite a few tools out there though - I've only used this one, very portable and you run it throught he steering wheel controls.
I like the sump guard And I prefer side steps, saving up to get someIggy/Ieuan

So how does the Vinyl Wrap stand up to bramble rash when off road?

I can only imagine that it would serve to protect the paint.
I'd rather pay to have vinyl re-done/patched than I new paint job...07 Land Rover Discovery III HSE

This is a good month for this list...
I've sorted a roof rack, thanks to another site member.
I got a good deal on the window tints... sorted for a few weeks time.
And since it's my birthday at the end of the month I'll be treating myself to the IID Tool.
I'll cross them off as they happen! 07 Land Rover Discovery III HSE
