My LR Expedition Roof Rack

Well, I finally got around to posting some pictures of my LR Expedition roof rack. I just got some TRED 1100 recovery boards and needed to make some room for them. I'm going wheeling Saturday so no time for secure mounting, bungee cords will do for now until I can fabricate some type of mounting system.

Here's the inventory list:
Spade shovel, 60" Hi-Lift Extreme Jack, (2) 5 Gallon Jerry Cans in a Front Runner dual can holder, TRED 4x4 Recovery boards, and my spare 275/65/18 Goodyear MTR/Kevlar on a t-bolt mount. Almost everything is locked down except the shovel, and now the TRED's until I find a good way to mount them.

And for those of you in this world that think that nobody uses the Yellow Page (telephone) directories anymore. Proof they still get used in the 21st century!

That looks like a nice setup. Thumbs Up

Where do you jack the car up when you use the Hi Lift jack? Do you use the Hi Lift jack to change wheels?

Thanks
John

Although I have not actually used the Hi Lift to jack up the truck yet, there are many jack points. I could lift off of my rock sliders which are very robust, the rear D-ring on the bumper, and I have the Lift Mate accessory which lifts off the wheels (I could then prop up the frame somehow in an emergency). I'm thinking I might be able to attach the Lift Mate to the front D-ring and get some lift there as well, I'll have to check that out today.

I'm sure one of these days things will get interesting and some improvisation will be necessary in the field, but that's what off-Roving is all about right!?

All the playing in the mud yesterday and I never even got stuck. Must be the rear locker that saved me. I didn't get to use the TRED's. Sad

Now that's how a Land Rover should look.
 Displaced Yorkshireman.
=^:^=
SDV6 Auto obviously, Loire blue/Ebony, ugly kid glass, RLD wheel protector, private plate and maybe side steps.
