Finally got my D3 last night
So, having put a deposit down about 3 weeks ago, I've finally taken delivery of my 56 plate D3 SE!
Took it for a quick spin last night, and it drives as I thought (on the very quick test drive) brilliantly.
To do list (could take some time):
De-Tango lights
Better bulbs all round
Clear side repeaters
D4 style front Grill
D4 Rear lights
Possibly add side steps
Any other must have mod ideas are welcome too!
I also took out a 2 year 'gold' warranty with 'Customer Protect', so feel a little more secure with the vehicle.
Just hoping that I dont get problems with the hand brake, as on my drive this could cause issues
I'm sure I'll be posting lots of questions, so thanks in advance

Welcome - Java Black I see....how about Plasti dipping your wheels to matte black as well?
Best send Beanie a PM for the D4 Grille, does a top job (so many of us on here have them).
Looks like your rear windows are already tinted, how about phone/bluetooth? (pleanty of kits out there)
Enjoy the grin on your face and send in more pics please Iggy/Ieuan

Looks good. It looks like it's not got Xenons, it might be worth trying to see if you can get hold of a set before de-tangoing.
Just a personal thing, but I think the Xenons look better than the Halogens.
Also, the EPB can cause problems as you probably know, which is why I don't use it
Sticking it in Park does me fine. Lee

imo
using the epb keeps it excercised, and if correctly maintained and adjusted it will be fine.

Already contacted Beanie re the grill, so will get this at some point soonish I would have thought. I think I'm going to go more OEM, so black and silver grill, and keeping the silver wheels.
It came with a really nice touch-screen bluetooth kit (can't remember the make) that seamlessly links my iPhone (including music) to the stereo - very impressed with this actually!
Think I'm going to keep using the EPB, as I like Yogi's thoughts on that. It's the thought process that I used with my Defenders Hi/Lo & Diff lock too. Keep using it it and keep it well maintained!

Also, any idea how much a pair of Xenons would set me back? I'm not very clued up on the lights, but I have seen some that look better than mine (aesthetically), but I thought they were adaptive?!?

Clear indicators
D4 rear lights
Sat Nav with D4 surround
Flip down DVD player
Blackvue
Side steps
3rd row headphone/switches

Already have satnav installed.
Here is a pic of the Bury bluetooth phone music device that was already installed in the car too. Works really well!

Hi, nice disco, real good motor all in all but one of the best mods is an EGR blanking kit, un sure if it will leave a light on the dash but mine is fine. The guys on here will put you wright on this one but it is one of the best mods around, only problem is you cannot see it but you do feel it !! all the best.

Did a long weekend with some friends in Great Yarmouth this weekend.
I'm pleased to report nothing went wrong on the 300 mile round trip, so I'm a happy man.
I was also impressed with the load capacity as whilst there we had to go out with 4 adults, two babies (obviously with car seats) a small dog and two buggies (travel systems). All went in with ease!!
